About Barmedmen Community Centre
Barmedman is a small town with a population of 250 in the Northern Riverina of New South Wales situated between West Wyalong and Temora.
The surrounding district is mostly a mixed farming area with Broadacre crops and livestock, mostly sheep.
The Community Centre, which is attached to the local Bowling Club, was once a hive of activity where weddings, 21st birthday parties and community celebrations like debutante balls and commemoration ceremonies were held on regular occasions.
With a dwindling population and after the COVID lockdowns the two local hotels have closed, and the Bowling Club and the Community Centre have become the gathering points for the locals to socialise and hold events of significance such as funerals.
Unfortunately, the community hall has fallen into a state of disrepair with the wet year of 2022 contributing significantly to the floorboards buckling and in desperate need of major renovations.
Make A Donation
A number of locals have come together to form a committee, the Barmedman Community Centre Incorporated, with the aim of restoring the hall infrastructure and returning the hall to its former glory and it once again becoming the social hub of the community.
While the committee and the community have grand plans for the Community Centre we realise these things cost money.
Your donation would be much appreciated and would be put solely towards the refurbishment of the Community Hall.
